𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 Clever Chikwata struck twice to beat Ekhaya goalkeeper Clever Mkungula and seal Creck Sporting Club’s second victory of the season at Nankhaka Stadium on Saturday. Creck came from two goals down to claim a dramatic 3-2 victory, displaying the fighting spirit that has been missing in some of the recent games. The visitors went into the break with a 2-0 lead, but the Crecks responded strongly after the restart. Head Coach Ernest Mtawali made several changes, bringing on Patrick Mupanzi, Hassan Hussain, Ramadan Ntafu, Harvey Nasiyaya and Frank Phiri as Creck searched for a comeback. Chikwata pulled one back from the penalty spot after Steve Nkhata was fouled inside the box. Substitute Patrick Mupanzi then levelled the scores just eight minutes after coming on. Chikwata completed the comeback with a brilliant 24-metre curling effort that beat Ekhaya goalkeeper Clever Mkungula to make it 3-2. His outstanding performance earned him the Player of the Match award. Creck nearly added a fourth, but Harvey Nasiyaya’s effort struck the post, denying the Creck another goal.
